How we verify
We only publish a story when its sources check out. Before anything goes live, our server opens every source link itself and requires:
- at least one official or primary source (the project, vendor or standards body), or at least two independent reputable sources;
- every source page to load over https;
- the key facts quoted in our checklist to actually appear on those source pages.
If we cannot verify it, we do not publish it. Social posts, forums and personal blogs never count as a source on their own.
Stories are our own short summaries with links back to the original reporting. Found a mistake? Corrections are added to the story page.
