Godot 3.6.3 maintenance release targets Android 16 and raises the iOS minimum to 15.0

The new 3.x build is aimed at teams that must keep updating Godot 3 games on Google Play and the App Store.

Godot 3.6.3 is a maintenance release for the 3.x line, built mainly because mobile store requirements changed. Google Play now asks new apps and updates to target Android 16 (API level 36), so the Godot Android APIs were updated, with compatibility changes so Godot 3 games can keep shipping on the Play Store.

On iOS, the minimum version moves to 15.0, the lowest version supported by Xcode 27. A minimum target export option is added, and 32-bit export is removed because it has not been supported since iOS 11.

The release also carries about twenty fixes from sixteen contributors, including a fix for audio crackling caused by an incorrect WASAPI buffer size. The Godot team describes it as safe and recommended for everyone on 3.6.x, with no major impact expected for projects already on 3.6.2-stable. Developers who see regressions are asked to report them on GitHub.
